About the CMC

We are the Canadian Motorcycle Cruisers (CMC) (founded in 2006 by Reg Green). As an avid rider Reg found himself meeting up with friends to go for rides. Eventually he joined a club that had chapters across Canada and the U.S. Starting in 2004, Reg began a journey that included stints as road captain, 2nd officer and eventually 1st officer of the growing chapter. In the summer of 2006, Reg formed a new chapter in the Cambridge/Guelph area. Four months later, he broke away from that club to start the CMC!
And so we have the beginning of the CMC! With the first chapter — 001 Cambridge/Guelph — meeting in Reg’s backyard, the CMC was well on its way. Over-whelming support was shown to both Reg and his 2nd officer, Chris Nadon, as many of the members from their former club quickly joined the Charter Chapter. In 2 short weeks, the first chapter of this new venture was rapidly growing with a membership of over seventy-five!
The second chapter, in the 1000 islands, was founded in December of 2006. Next came Mississauga, Halifax, Montreal, Barrie, Hamilton, etc., etc.
The CMC is a riding club and a social club, with many of the chapters hosting a variety of different events, including brunches, bowling tournaments and house parties. Our members come with many years and 1,000’s of kilometers of riding experience. Since we are a family-based riding club, all members of the family are welcome at most events.
We welcome every kind of motorcycle in our club. The mandate of the club is: “It doesn’t matter the brand, as long as you ride it !”
We are internet-based with all communication through the forums. Each Chapter has its own forum for club business and communications; including Chapter rides, General Information, Member Updates, Charity rides, etc.
